HERO Day at ROTHENBERGER

On 8th June, 2017, the winners of HERO 2016 visited the ROTHENBERGER TEC Center and spent an enjoyable and informative afternoon there. The foundation TOOLS FOR LIFE had extended the invitation while presenting the donation cheque to Dr. Wolfgang Mazur of the Zentrum für Jugendberatung und Suchthilfe (center of youth counseling and addiction care) in the Main-Taunus district. The visitors learned about the foundation TOOLS FOR LIFE as well as the company ROTHENBERGER, gained an insight into the production process of the pipetool manufacturer in Kelkheim, and got to try out the tools themselves. Additionally, human resources manager Hildegard Eisen invited the young visitors to attend a job application training.

“HERO Day is a chance for us to say ‚Thank you!‘, “ said Dr. Sandra Rothenberger, the foundation’s president in her welcome speech. „Social commitment is important, and we would like to show our appreciation – even beyond our donation towards the Projekt Alkoholprävention (project alcohol prevention).“ Dr. Wolfgang Mazur emphasized that especially alcohol prevention takes an important role in the prevention work of the center, and the project „HalT“ has a key role in this. „Our main concern is not to prohibit the consumption of alcohol but to draw attention to its dangers. Our services can help prevent young people suffering from alcoholism.“

The HERO 2016 award was given to the alcohol prevention program „HalT – Hart am Limit“ (Stop – Close to the Limit) of the Zentrum für Jugendberatung und Suchthilfe in the Main-Taunus district by the foundation TOOLS FOR LIFE. Every year, the award acknowledges the social commitment of employees of the ROTHENBERGER AG.
