Help for the monsoon victims in Khyber Pakhtukhwa - Afganistan
In September 2010, more than 400 people were killed and 400,000 lost their homes and property during the monsoon flooding in Pakistan and Afghanistan. Multiple rivers overran their banks and destroyed villages, streets and bridges. The power supply was cut-off to prevent accidental electrocution. According to official statements, the flooding of the affected regions was the worst experienced in more than 80 years.
The German Aid for Afghan Children (GAAC) – a German non-governmental organisation – concentrated their support on the regions destroyed – the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa districts. TOOLS FOR LIFE supported GAAC with 2,000€ which supplied approx. 1,000 families in Swat, Nowshera, Pabbi and in Bannu with food and water. In addition to food, the GAAC also organised building materials and electric units which enabled them to begin repairing and rebuilding their homes. Goats, seeds and fertilizer were also donated to the resident farmers so they could resume their work and therefore resume supplying the region.

The German Aid for Afghan Children (GAAC) is a private initiative of the Regensburger family Dr. Med. Reinhard and Annette Eroes. The family-initiative was founded in 1998 and aims to support women and children in Afghanistan with educational and medical Projects.

Your commitment - Senegal 2012
My TOOLS FOR LIFE staff trip to Senegal in 2012 was a unique experience. And the fact that I was standing on a meadow where today, after only two years, there is a school for several hundred pupils, which the Foundation helped to finance, is almost unbelievable. Great cause and great projects that make a little bit of a difference in the world.
