Peaky & Nample on Tour: Craftsmanship for Africa – WorldSkills Africa in Zambia
Our Craftsmanship Ambassadors on the Move
In 2023 and 2024, our craft influencers Peaky and Nample accompanied TOOLS FOR LIFE in Senegal. On site, they not only provided practical support with ROTHENBERGER tools but also gained new insights into the people, the country, and our projects. With their knowledge and commitment, they actively support the goals of TOOLS FOR LIFE, ROTHENBERGER, and the craftsmanship sector.
WorldSkills Africa: Education as the key
The next highlight came in September 2025: Peaky & Nample traveled to WorldSkills Africa in Zambia as coaches! Over four intensive days, they led workshops on practical skills in pipe and metalworking.
Workshops:
- Cutting PVC, copper, and steel pipes
- Bending pipes
- Soldering
- Operating the press gun
With a wealth of experience, enthusiasm, and high-quality ROTHENBERGER tools, our coaches ensured that the workshops were practical and lively. The huge interest on site exceeded all expectations—significantly more participants took part than originally planned, and the event was extremely well received.
Helping people help themselves & sustainable development
The main goal: sharing expertise, promoting talent, and strengthening craftsmanship skills. In this way, Peaky & Nample provide active help for self-help—right on site!
Nample: “The motivation and joy I experienced there was simply contagious. It was an experience I won't forget anytime soon.”
Strong partnerships for strong projects
Cooperation with organizations such as the World Plumbing Council and the IWSH Foundation is being intensified in order to implement effective and sustainable projects for the coming years. Together, we are creating opportunities and ensuring that knowledge is passed on – for a better quality of life through craftsmanship, education, and partnership in Africa.
