Sanitary facilities for schoolchildren

In the arid north of Kenya, in Baringo County, many families face enormous challenges. Extreme drought, poverty, and a lack of agricultural opportunities make life difficult for the community. Children from Kisanana attend local primary schools, but these schools struggle with massive problems: too few and dilapidated toilets, overcrowded classrooms, and a lack of equipment threaten the health and future of the children—especially the girls.

The lack of adequate sanitation facilities leads to the practice of open defecation. The consequences: contaminated water, greatly increased risk of disease from diarrhea, cholera, or parasites—diseases that claim many lives every year, especially among children.
Access to clean and safe toilets is not only a matter of hygiene, but also of dignity and education.
With our project, we want to
✔️ create sustainable and stable sanitation facilities
✔️ promote health and safety
✔️ bring education and hygiene into everyday school life
✔️ give hope and new opportunities to the entire region
Together with committed partners and the local community, we are ensuring that the children of Kisanana can once again learn, laugh, and dream without worry! Every contribution counts!
